Badass Poetry: Come Home

Come Home
by Jacqueline Brasseur

When you say you miss us, are you for real?
When you say you’ll come back soon, is that a true deal?
When you’re thinking of us, do you ever shed a tear?
When you say home, do you still mean here?

Living without you, is hard enough,
But knowing that you’re fine without us,
is just twenty times as tough.

Remember our days that would turn into nights?
Remember when “for sure”s turned into “might”s?
Remember when we stopped calling after you said goodbye?
Remember the times we promised, we’d find a way to fly?

Living without you is hard enough,
But knowing that you’re fine without us,
is just twenty times as tough.

Feel free to leave your comments.
Positive or negative.

Or perhaps another poem of the same genre.
