Monthly Updates: March & April

Goshdarnit! My life has been hectic. I mean, sure, I realize that it probably wasn’t a super good idea to invest my senior high school year in two different drama productions, work a job and still expect myself to keep up with homework. But really, high school’s a time to kick back, relax, and wait until the real world attacks you with utility bills, rent, grocery costs, and not to mention doing your own laundry.

Just in March, I was in Mexico for two weeks while being involved in both Annie and The Vagina Monologues in town, I organized Yellowknife’s Top 12 spot in Hockeyville 2010 and read The Book of Negroes, Of Mice & Men, and half of The Grapes of Wrath. And now, in April, it’s even busier! Starting tomorrow, I’m performing The Vagina Monologues with a group of fantabulous women, and starting April 15th, I have rehearsals for Annie every single day until April 28th (when the performance begins!).

Other than that, I wouldn’t exactly say FAILING, but I’d say pretty close to not succeeding at anything academic related. However, in an attempt to better my study habits, I quit one of my two jobs–it’s really not working, to be honest with you. I’m doing even LESS homework and I might as well not have any jobs because I’ve worked once in the past two months (although, I did make a badass Natural Born Killers poster for The Capitol Theatre!).

I have also helped my bro in designing his own film review blog over at Film-Know With A Bro. I did his logo as well. You guys should all check it out. Move over Ebert & Roeper, Brandon Erasmus is coming your way.

OMG. I found my dream job, but unfortunately, I am UNABLE to work there because of prior commitments. I love love love graphic design, and just wish that I could do it for a living. If only I was good enough. Hmmmmph. If anybody has any jobs for me?! Let me know!

So, basically, due to super fail lately (due to excessive theatre), blogging has been UBER FAIL. I am apologizing for this, right this moment. I will begin posting regularly, momentarily. Just as soon as I can get back up on my feet… preferably, off of a stage.
